I've been going to Stillwater since 1985. One of the things that I love about the place is that the staff leaves you alone! I like the rustic feeling and lack of pretense. One can truly relax here unless your expect a luxury hotel. I enjoy the proximity to the unspoiled coast. Who cares if they hung onto the left over mints and nuts!!!
I've been going to Stillwater Cove Ranch since 1984 (I was 5). We consistently went at least once a year until I moved out. Now I return as often as I can with my husband. It is so peaceful and beautiful. There is no place like it for relaxing and exploring and having a romantic time. It is NOT the place to come if you're used to a ...
Stillwater Cove Ranch is set on some of the most beautiful, scenic property overlooking a secluded beach, crashing blue waves and redwood heaven. The staff-of-one was friendly and made our stay pleasant and comfortable - we even brought our dog for only a $10 per day fee. I cannot imagine a better low-key, low-priced getaway that literally takes ...

Everything here was great. Although people say the staff is very rude, and sometimes they are, but once you get to know them they are extremely friendly people. I enjoy staying there and don't m ind the peackocks at all.

Stillwater Cove Ranch Memories
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/18/07
We first vacationed at Stillwater Cove Ranch in 1970! We met a delightful old gentleman who we called "Grandpa." His rugged face and gentle, caring way personified the Ranch and our daydream experience. Some of my favorite photos, beach walks and family memories live within our days spent at Stillwater Cave Ranch. It's been many ...

VERY RUDE STAFF!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/19/07
I called long distance to inquire about room rates w/out knowing the time difference. The rude woman who answered the phone yelled so loud after I ask the room rate the 3rd time. They should not answer the phone if they are not ready to assist customer even if it's 11:30pm. Better yet, they should get an answering machine or indicate the ...

Rustic and far away from city life...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/06
Stillwater Cove Ranch is one of my favorite places to NOT take the lap top and cell phone. The approach to service is private and hands-off which offers a refreshing way to reconnect with family, without all of the interruptions common in modern life. I was in search of an uninturrupted game of Pictionary, walks exploring the local woods and beach, ...
The sceenery is breath-taking, but the management at the ranch was far from hospitable. A worker literally yelled at a member of our party for using a restroom. The groom was consistently boothered on his night by trivial complaints from the caretakers and I personally saw them recycling the mints and nuts back into the boxes for use at the next ...
I have stayed at Stillwater Cove Ranch several times over the past five years, both alone and with family members. I have also stayed at other places like the Jenner Inn (at Jenner), Fife's Resort (at Guerneville), and the Salt Point Lodge (down the road from Stillwater Cove Ranch). Nothing compares to Stillwater Cove Ranch! It is a rustic ...
