Not worth the money. Cheap looking rooms slapped together. Stayed at Holiday Inns around the country on business and this is by far the worst. Rude staff who seem to be clueless.
It was a great location. The rooms were small (claustrophobic)and was not a good value. I was booked for 3 nights and end up staying 2. For the 3rd night, we went two blocks over to a suite hotel and the price was $80 cheaper and much nicer (2 rooms and a full kitchen).
The only regret we had was that we didn't leave the first night.

All New Hotel! Check it out.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/06/07
The Hotel Cass Mag Mile Chicago, as they call it now, is now open as a brand new, completely redesigned Holiday Inn Express. They no longer have a Sea of Happiness lounge, but there's a delicious, complimentary breakfast. The location in the midst of everything going on in the River North and Magnificent Mile area is a big plus! Check out the new look and place.

Good for the price

I was at the disadvantage of having stayed in Chicago for months on business in 2002 at some very swanky but high priced hotels (Fairmont & Le Meridien--now Conrad Hotel--both paid for by my employer). So, I knew the area I wanted to stay in but wasn't willing to spend my own $ on top prices. I did a lot of web surfing & came up ...

Picture Must Be Old, Because Hotel is Fully Redone
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/07
All you need to know about this hotel is that it is EXCEPTIONAL for the price. My girlfriends and I travelled to Chicago this past weekend for my bachelorette party. We stayed at Hotel Cass-Holiday Inn Express mainly because of the location and price. You are literally one block from Magnificent Mile, Rush and State Street. Everything was within ...

I liked the new look. Man it is a totally different feel to the place. Me and my girlfriend just loved it. The staff were cool and very helpful for suggesting places to dine and spots to visit. I saw old pictures of what the hotel used to look like, what a good change. I guess they just did remodeling to the entire hotel and is under new ownership. They certainly jazzed it up nicely.
Well I have stayed at this hotel before and was unaware of the recent 16 million dollar remodeling that was done. I thought it was amaizing. the beds were great and rooms were cozy. The picture yahoo has posted must be an old photo because my room did not look like that. My room had a great bed, with comfortable pillows and colorful blankets. A nice flat screen tv with hd. The hotel has great location for chicago night life.

Small Rooms, Good Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/03/07
We stayed at the Hotel Cass on 9/1/07, after being moved from our original hotel that was overbooked. The staff was very accomodating when we came over from the first hotel. The hotel had just gone under a $16 million dollar renovation and was quite nice, although the rooms are TINY!
Our room had one bed and the room was only big enough for ...

Perfect Fit

My sisters, our daughters and daughter-in-laws do our "girls weekend thing" in Chicago. We've always stayed at the Cass Hotel. The rates are affordable, the rooms always clean, and the location is perfect! Close to everything..Magnificent Mile, shops, restaurants, night life, and short cab ride to Navy Pier and other attractions. ...
