We stayed at Kaanapali shores over the Thanksgiving holiday 2006. Two kids and Mom & Dad in a one bedroom with a view. Perfect for families and a great value too. We can't wait to go back. What a wonderful time!
We enjoyed watching the free scuba lessons every day at 10:00 at the pool. The happy hour every nite was great. We enjoyed the walks on the beaches, and seeing the whales every day. Our room was very clean and a great view of the ocean. We would go back again.
The hotel itself is beautiful but it stops there. They try to get you for every penny and the room my girlfriend and I stayed in definitely was not worth the money. They charged $9/day for parking and a daily fee or as they put it "a nominal fee" to use their safe. If that is not bad enough it was at the "very end of Kaanapali beach" which does not do one of the most beautiful beaches justice at all. 3 Star hotel at most.
We loved our stay at ResortQuest. The big rooms with kitchens and living rooms were really nice...really, one-bedroom condos more than hotel rooms. And very close to nice beaches. Be forwarned, though: The beach right in front of the hotel has rock and coral and shallow water just 30 feet from the shore. Not good for boogie-boarding or surfing, ...
This was our 1st trip to this resort. We went with another couple in Nov 2006. Our room overlooked the ocean. The room was nice and clean but could use updating. The Beach club diner had a great breakfast. The landscaping was beautiful. The location was a little out of the way but worth the money. It needed some nightly entertainment at the bar.
I would recommend this place to everyone. The location was great! Close to shopping, dining and entertainment activities. We could not have asked for better weather when we went. The 2 pools at the condos were great. The garden pool was a little cooler than we would have liked, but it was still wonderful. The kids had a blast. Our room was ...
We stayed here June 2006 and it was my first trip to Hawaii. Everything about the resort was fantastic!!! There is great snorkeling right in front of the resort, we saw more fish than we did at Black Rock. The $100 credit at the restaurant/bar helped a lot. There is a desk for rental equipment such as snorkel sets, but it was a lot less ...
Just arrived back to the mainland last night at 10pm so I am typing this fresh of the plane. My wife and I loved the Ka'anapli Shores. It was perfectly located for us. Just close enough to Lahaina, yet far enough to not feel so "cramped up". The restaurant had excellent food (received a $100 food credit so maybe that's why, lol). ...
If you have any other option, including sleeping in your car, please do yourself a favor and take that other option rather than stay at this over priced and under service resort. This property is a resort in name only, in truth, it is a people packaging plant and the management shoves guests in and out of rooms like cattle and care very little ...
We just returned from Maui and since I read all the reviews here, thought I would also leave one too! Yes, the beach is a bit sloped and more narrow than others but many people used the beach to tan and to take a dip in the water. We would drive 10 mins or so and spent time at Kaanapali Beach near the Sheraton, took a longer drive to Makena Beach ...
