This is an older hotel, showing her age in some of the hallway common areas, but the room was clean and well cared for. It appeared to have been redone within the last year. The staff was EXCELLENT! They cared for us like we were family. It was very conveninent to the smithsonian museums (We drove over each day.) We were there a week and spent a ...

they told us they were 10 minutes from the metro it took us over a half an hour to walk there.the ice machine didn,t work and the cable system was awful you could hardly watch it.peaple fighting in the hallway.it was realy run down.
There website says they have 108 rooms. There were only 10 cars in the lot so I can only assume they were not full. I was put on the 2nd floor in the very back of the hotel. The door faced the pool area. Yes it was dark back there, but I knew I wouldn't be coming and going so that didn't bother me. The room itself smelled badly like cig ...

Worst Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/17/08
This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was run down, old, and was not worth the money. I did not feel safe. One night I heard two people arguing in the hallway; one guy said he would kill the other guy. People were making noise and running in the hallway at different times of the night and early in the morning. The hallway smelled, the room was small and the sheets were stained. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
This Days Inn is located in Alexandria, south of DC. Doesn't look great from the outside but the rooms are nice. Lots of pillows, friendly staff, replace everything for you each day, pool, breakfast, close to the metro station (1 mile), wireless internet, fridge and microwave in room. Great value too. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was ...

I chose this hotel for two main reasons that were not available:
--Wireless Internet (it wouldn't reach my room)
--Workout opportunity
In general, Days Inn should review this facility's franchise. This place does not measure up to Days Inn's standards.
I spent three weeks at this hotel--which is more like a motel--in the summer of 2005, so I feel well qualified to say: Avoid this hotel.
The most serious problems I experienced here are as follows: *Vermin problems. There were cockroaches, for one thing. Frequently in the shower. Also, from the bites that developed on myself and several ...

Don't stay here!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/27/04
Facilities are filthy, roach infested and unsafe. When we complained about roaches, we were offered another room, which had burn marks on the wall from a short circuited electrical adapter. The management was totally unresponsive both during the stay and after the fact. Thanks to this horrible experience, Days Inn is off our list of possible future accomodations.
