Simpson House was recommended to us by friends, and how pleased we are that our friends shared this wonderful place with us. We celebrated our 10 year anniversary at Simpson House, stayed in Robert & Julia's room, and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The staff, the rooms, both private and public, the grounds, the food...all absolutely the ...

Don't waste your money

The grounds are nice. Whatever you do do not stay in the Katherine McCormick room. It is so small and you do not have any where to set something down on. The bed is bordered by the walls on three sides so you have to climb over the other person to get in and out of bed. It looks out on the parking lot and sits directly over the kitchen which is ...

I love this place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/07/07
The location of the Simpson House Inn is convenient to all downtown attractions. The Pendle Cottage was awesome- a kitchen, private patio and loft were much more enticing in person than just in the photos. Kind, courteous staff, great food, great value...we are going back this summer.

too expensive

Stayed here one night after wanting to for sooooooo many years. I was greatly disappointed, way overpriced for what you receive.
Sad to have your shampoo and conditioner come out of a cheesy machine hanging in the shower when you are paying big $$$$.
Have stayed in many other b&b's so I can compare.....would NEVER stay here or refer anyone.
we live in SB and love this hotel. its old world california; great service and nice rooms with victorian decor. awesome service and friendly people. no pool but lots to do as it is close to down town. great to stay there in May and June when it is still cold and cloudy at the beach as the Simpson house is above the fog line mostly.
This is an extraordinary resort. The food, service, ambience, rooms, and grounds are all perfection. But you will pay dearly for this 5-star B&B. So if you are willing to spend the money, I highly recommend it - you will have an unforgettable experience (and the best part is they do not allow children... Hooray!)
I was married on the front ...

Historical Getaway at the Simson House
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/27/05
It is a beautiful historical victorian mansion in a quaint neighborhood in Santa Barbara. Luxurious and inviting. A very romatic getaway walking distance from all the shopping and restaurants.
