There is nothing I don't like about Marble Canyon. For years before my mother's passing, I'd take her there and stay at the lodge for a week, spending most of our time sitting by the Colorado River at Lee's Ferry. For those who can't do without their Blackberrys and suburban creature comforts, I'd suggest Phoenix is a day's drive away.

I thought it was a really cool place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/17/08
A buddy of mine & I were riding our cycles on a road trip & stopped here for one night. Staff was really friendly - food was much better then the big archers or the local king's, maybe better than my mom's cooking. Yes this place is remote but there is a modern gas station with munchies & beer about 500 ft away, stock up on any ...

Won't stay here again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/07/08
There is no cell service, no phones in the rooms. No outside lighting. The coffee/tea maker does not work. NO HOT WATER for a shower. Water is barely warm then turns cold. Wi-fi is very slow. For all these the price is too much.
Just like waking up in a film! Absolutely lovely staff - we arrived as the restaurant was closing for the evening and they kept it open just for us and made great home cooked food.

Initial review reads, "Lodge offers modern comforts and facilities, restaurant and bar; located at the Colorado River; 5 miles from Lee's Ferry."
I am not sure what modern comforts they are claiming to offer. We utilized 16 rooms, in both old and new building (moved to new building because airconditioning went out as soon as we ...
