underwhelmedVery pleasant staff and good location. We stayed in the lodge Nov. 06 and were completely underwhelmed. We're not neat freaks but the lodge and lodge rooms needs a complete cleaning and TLC from floor to ceiling. Ice machine running like crazy and dripping water all over the floor... dustbunnies everywhere, beds were old and tired, carpet is circa 1974. On the other hand, the food was very good.1 of 1 Yahoo! Here I go again!I have been to Lakewoods as a young teenager in the summer over the 4th of July weekend, waterskiing, boating, and swimming. Now as an adult I have returned for the past 5 years snowmobiling! Best bang for your buck and by far the best Sunday brunch I have ever eaten. Lakewoods is a perfect gettaway!We go to Lakewoods Resort every summer to celebrate our anniversary. We play tennis, golf, volleyball plus go boating and fishing. By renting a condo, we have enough supplies and comfort handy that we don't even go into town! Very family friendly. We have heard that winter-time is also fun ... lots of crosscountry skiing and snowmobiling available. Warm cabin-like condos are quite rustic.
