Wife and I booked for two nights then stayed an additional night. Clean bathroom, bed was comfortable and clean, nice access to North Shore. Young man at front desk was helpful and polite. Would not hesitate to stay again. This will be my third time to stay here. Carpet needed to be cleaned or replaced. Bonus-Refrigerator and microwave. We brought our own coffee pot.

I understand what other reviewers have written about the owner. He is a serious man who doesn't have time for chit chat! I do want to mention that we did not receive any verbal abuse of any kind. The rooms are small and a little dated but are pretty clean, for the price and location it's really not that bad. The red neon lights are a little shady, reminiscent of the Bates Motel! Dogs are allowed for a small fee.

We have come up to the Beaver Bay/ Silver Bay area for the past 14 years and love it! While we prefer to break it up and stay at as many differnt places as we can, the Mariner is a nice place if we plan on being out and about all day. They welcome the dog and kids and its clean and cozy.

Nice to be able to drive up to the door and unload.
Liked the unique look of the rooms - very simple.
Well worth the money.

The owner is a little rough around the edges when it came to friendlynes. The room was old but clean. Nice hot showers, everything in the kitchen was in good repair. Location close to state parks,grocery store ,bowling ally, bar and gas stations. Economic prices. I would go back.

Host was rude and unpleasant would not rent a room to me ?
said I would be back later to check in wanted to look downtown first
