Save yourself the cash, stay somewhere else for cheaper and eat here. Small portions, but the food is gourmet. The room was dirty and is nothing like the pictures. Stay at a Motel 6, its cheaper and more appointed.
I came out to golf for the weekend, 72 holes in two days. The room was great, newly renovated, everything i needed. I had a great meal both nights, slept great, and played great golf. Many courses within 30 minutes. I enjoyed it so much, i booked another room just to come back with my girlfriend. I travel often, spend time in large hotel chains, i will look for places like this moving forward.

An Inn in stunning surroundings
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/21/08
We recently stayed at the Inn after driving through some of the most spectacular, lush scenery in the state. Our room had all the amenities and the old world charm found only in historic landmark inns. The food at the inn's restaurant was beyond the norm, as was the wine served. This is a great experience at a reasonable price.

Live locally

I live in B-ville. I enjoy taking clients to lunch at the Battletown. We had my parents 50 anniversary there recently and it was magnificent. The service and dinner were excellent, especially for a large party of people. The dessert was to die for! I am never dissappointed there, whether downstairs for dining or upstairs in the tavern.

Great Dinner Experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/31/07
For my wife's birthday, we were looking for a new and unique resturant to experience and WOW, we were not disappointed! Unique old world atmosphere and nearly 5 star dinner experience, we'll definitely be back. Loved the seared scallops w/ pan gravy!
Eating here is a bit or a crap shoot. Sometimes its good sometimes its bad. If you get lucky its really good. If you dont the whole meal is bad.

Lovely Virginia Inn.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/28/06
The new owners have done a wonderful job in renovating this established inn. The restaurant is wonderful and my favorite is being surrounded by the antique decor.

I was asked by one of the owners to give an honest reveiw on this site. Since the takeover in March of 2006 we have stayed in the inn twice. We have tried two different rooms and both were marvelous. We have recommended it to several people.
The restaurant, in my opinion is a 5 star. The food is to beyond words, you must eat there! The service was great and everyone really cared about our experience.

Pleasantly suprised
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/06
I recently stayed at the Battletown Inn and was pleasantly suprised. We were offered one of their newly remodled rooms. It was absolutly charming! The room we stayed in had cathedral ceilings and brick walls. It was beautiful. A lot of classic charm to this inn. Also located next to the inn is their resturant. The food was spectacular! If you are going to be in the Berryville area we highly recomend The Battletown Inn.
We called last minute and was able to book a room with a jacuzzi. The inn told me they were in the middle of remodeling but we were more than welcome. \The room had alot of old world charm ...we loved the original brick wall in our room. the room was clean and tidy. the bed comfortable and the jacuzzi was good size.We walked to the Light House ...
