I would not recommend this place for any human being, especially as a resident, let along a guest in the Hotel. Staff seems wonderful, they have to in order to over come the problems with the place. I've been here for a little over a year now, only due to affordability, will be leaving out soon. Talk about problems, hallways, elevator, ...
This place was filthy and ancient. The ki8ds that ran the place were friendly and It beat sleeping at the bus station. I missed my ride and had to find a place to stay. Bigger hotels were full so a cabby brought me to the Lennox. I didn't see any bugs, but the place reminded me of Alice and Ralph Cramden's apartment in the Honeymooners. This was probably a nice place in the 40's and maybe 50's.

Horrific beyond belief

Horrific beyond words....The photo on the website showed this lovely older hotel...just renovated it says. The lobby did not have so much as a chair. The rooms ( I was in 4 in the three miserable days I was there) were clean but stark....all with broken blinds, no shampoo or hairdryer in the bathroom, no coffee maker and no heat....No drapes, ...

A diverse urban Hotel with many great attributes!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/31/06
This Hotel is an off-beat place for visitors to stay; with a mix of guests ranging from the wealthy to the homeless, I found my stay a unique experience for an urban setting. The staff was outstanding, my room was recently remodeled, and other guests staying at the Hotel were diverse in their background. If you are accustomed to a suburban-type ...

We Loved The Lenox
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/25/06
My friend and I just finished a 5 night stay. The location was great, staff was friendly and helpful, the room was recently renovated with new beds. I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for something a little different instead of the cookie-cutter feeling of most chains.
Under no circumstances should you stay at this hotel. I'm certain it was beautiful 50 years ago, but it's nearing a state of complete disrepair. I had a similar experience as the previous reviewer.

Just DON'T
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/17/04
While the staff was friendly and courteous, this hotel was well below par -not just in cleanliness, which was atrocious, but in its content's physical age. The first room we got, the bed promptly collapsed to the floor as it was sat on. We were graciously given a new room. This one, the bathroom was appallingly filthy and the mattresses were ...
