The owners seemed very nice and we had a great breakfast. My one complaint is that the whole place (the parking area and compound of buildings) was lit up like a used car lot with super bright lights. It's darker on a New York street. Personally, I was hoping for a country experience in the dark quiet of the woods. It was clean, though.
We just spent the 4th of July weekend at the Catskill Mountain Lodge and found everything to be first rate. Our room was spacious, clean and well beyond what we expected for the price. The restaurant and bar were excellent (with 14 beers on tap!) and the help was very accommodating (they served us dinner when we arrived ...
We had a great stay at the Catskill Mountain Lodge. Our room was beautiful and huge!!!!fireplace made us feel very cozy...Bathroom was spottless with double sinks!!!! beautiful creek behind the lodge, owners are wonderful! the ride to hunter mountain is absolutely breathtaking!!!!pet friendly!! very quiet, relaxing atmosphere...definetly going back!! We loved everything about this place...they really made us feel like we were home away from home!
I had a wonderful time during my stay at the Catskill Mt. Lodge. The lodge, which is under new ownership, has had extensive renovations made to it, renovations which include newly installed fireplaces, top of the line chef, host and hostesses to meet and greet, game room for children, and many other amenities that are soon to come like a sauna and ...
This lodge located close to Hunter Mt Ski resort (10-15 min drive). the rooms are very poor inside. Service is no good. Good restaurant with nice brekfest and diner.
The new owners are terrific. They took over in September and made our family feel completely at ease. Late check-out was no problem. And they are keeping the place pet friendly. They had just opened a steakhouse that serves cappuccino and espresso. Breakfast and lunch was available during the week and on the weekend. They even make juices to order! They also have free wireless Internet, which is one of the reasons we stayed there.
Our room was in a separate building from the main lodge. It has not been updated since the 1960s. Upon opening the door, we were hit with a musty, stuffy smell that was a combination of pet odor, mildew, and dirty carpets. The tiles in the drop ceilings sagged as if they were about to fall down any minute. Lifting a tile along the wall provides ...
It is owned by a very nice family and when you are there you become part of it. I have been there numerous times and its the only place I stay when I attend things in Hunter. The food is good and very well priced. We have also enjoyed our nights spent at the bar talking to people that live up that way. The rooms have always been clean.
I loved the hospitality of the family that owns it. After our first stay there for a horse show that we were involved in it seemed like you belong there. We were there for a few consecutive weekends and I looked forward to it every time. Can't wait to go back and see the family and there wonderful staff.
One Stop shopping. Breakfast, lunch, Bar and dinner all in one place. Very reasonably priced. Staff is very, very friendly and make you feel right at home. Won't go anywhere else when visitng Hunter Mountain for the many yearly activities. Only a short drive (10 miles)to the mountain.
