You get a basic hotel room at a decent price. I travel to Machias often and prefer this hotel over the motor inn. They provide Internet access through hardwired ethernet (vs. wireless), which I like. The front desk people are friendly and helpful.

clean, quiet, near town etc., comfortable. we go here every year for the blueberry festival; it makes a pleasant aspect of our stay.

Likes: clean, not too far from the Puffin Tour (30 min), slightly cheaper than the Motor Inn

Dislikes: old, not that comfortable, pricey in the summer for the quality, air unit difficult to set to desired temperature

We travelled around the country and in Nova Scotia and this is one of the best hotels we stayed in. Clean, comfortable, and quiet at a reasonable price. The air conditionerran very quietly and there is even a fridge in the room. We would definitely stay here again.

I loved all of it. The location, cleanliness, comfort, friendliness and helpfulness of owners. The air conditioner is the best I have ever encountered. I can't wait to go back.
The price is also great.
The only thing I would like to be improved is the internet connection. It was not functioning but communication systems in Maine in general are very much lacking.

We have stayed at the Bluebird maybe 5 times now. We do not look for fancy stuff; we want a clean, quiet room with a comfortable bed at a fair price. We always need late arrival, and that has never been a problem here. Best of all - the shower actually has water pressure!
