A nightmare comes true

We were taken to the hotel by Air France when a flight was cancelled. I would never pay these rates for such a place. The towels were scratchy and frayed. The door to the balcony rattled all night. The air conditioner threw handsful of water onto the floor and the furniture. The meals were very ordinary for the prices charged. Drinks prices were exorbitant. In short, an experience to be happily missed any time one is in N'Djamena...

If you are in Chad, and likely arriving in N'Djamena, you don't have too many options to look for a hotel. The best two, Novotel and La Meridien, are your only options. Just because you are in Africa, don't expect things to be cheap. Single night was $200, adn $400 for a suite. The quality was comparisable to high end LaQuinta or ...
