Never Again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Lived in FL for 35 years and always heard about the great Hurricane Restaurant. What a bunch of doo-doo. This place really, really is gross. Service is about as poor as it gets, Cleanliness and seating is totally out of bounds. And the food? Some of the worst I've ever had along the beach. Avoid this restaurant.Slow service, high prices, food overcooked. Most dangerous: MANAGER AND COOK APPARENTLY UNAWARE OF SERIOUSNESS OF FOOD ALLERGIES. For example: after discussion of this an allergen was suspected in the food. Server returned the plate to the kitchen/manager and came back stating no allergen was in the food. Skip the Hurricaneand go to the beach across the street. After waiting for a long time, we were seated at a table where we were ignored by the wait staff. NOT A FIVE STAR ESTABLISHMENTDon't be fooled, this is a cattle call of the first degree. Highly priced food of "drive-through" quality served slowly by very self absorbed waiters. The view is nice, but it's just across the street from the beach. Next time, I will save some money and aggravation, not to mention a long wait, by just going through the local drive-through fast food place and bring a meal to the beach.Was this review helpful? A complete ripoffand NOT family friendly. This is the place to go if you want to get ignored by waiters and get served poor quality cold food as well as pay outrageous prices.

Don't miss this!The Hurricane is where I first fell in love with Florida grouper. The grouper sandwich is their specialty. Sit outside where the breeze off the gulf will keep you cool. The beach is right across the road - we saw dolphins!
Great pub atmosphere in the charming area called passe-a-grille. Don't miss this chance for the best grouper sandwich. Team it up with an ice cold beer and watch the pelicans fly by.
