We stayed at the Oslo Christiania Hotel during this 2005-2006 New Year's weekend.
The location is great, across from the Central Railway Station, in the heart of the city, with everything pretty much within walking distance. And, if you don't wanna walk: the subway station entrance is also immediately next to the hotel.

Two and a half stars for this smashing hotel? Are you serious? It's not cheap but a great hotel in a very convenient location. And the best buffet breakfast in Oslo.

I thought this hotel was wonderful, from the moment we stepped in I was in awe. The rooms were furnished beautifully, we had a sitting room with desk, tv, huge bathroom with warming bars to dry clothes, very fluffy towels.
