We had a lot of fun staying at the El Colorado Lodge. When we came into our suite our girls were very excited to see that their beds were actually in another little room. Stayed here 3 times and plan on going again. I stayed one weekend on business and couldn't use the fireplace during the summer nights; however, that did not take away from the enjoyment of my stay. We have always wanted to stay at the El Colorado Lodge and finally had the oppertunity. When we arrived we paid the $5 for wood so we could have a fire in the fireplace, but never had the chance to use it. We stayed at the El Colorado Lodge for a week. We had a wonderful time, the lodge is very nice, the pool area is very clean, and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend anyone going to Manitou Springs to stay at the lodge.

We stayed here July 2005. Enjoyed our stay. Staff was friendly - gave us great local restaurant tips. Room was large and clean - but musty smelling. We liked the historic adobe lodge setting - and, the 2-story room was great for our family of 5 with an upstairs with 2 beds for the kids.

The outdoor pool was huge, though could be nicer with a little elbow grease.

Room was clean and spacious enough - the fridge and microwave were helpful.
