Stains on the carpet, dirty sheets and towels. The staff and manager were rude and really unwilling to help.

I cannot say enough how horrible this experience was; all thanks to the First Gold Hotel.

It may be cheap, but there is a reason for that.

A very dirty hotel. Not really "in the thick" of Deadwood. Staff was at times unfriendly.

I recommend anything closer to the main strip than this POS "hotel".

we have stayed here 3 times and have never been disappointed by the hotel or its staff. it is first rate all the way around. this will be the only place in deadwood we will ever stay...

We love the First Gold because it has the friendliest employees in Deadwood. Many of the other places that we frequent have employees that don't even look at you, let alone try to learn your name and be friendly. We have been staying there for years and love the changes they have made. Beautiful new rooms, lots of new parking with the parking garage. We love it there and will never stay anywhere else!

A maze to get to your room. a bigger maze to get to the breakfast. Rooms uphill from Casino. No Parking. New garge being built, but dirt all over. Car was just filthy. Casino wall to wall slots,very cramped. Not in walking distance to anything. Lost Oxygen delivered days before arrival.

friendliest staff i have ever had in a hotel. yes it is a bit off the downtown but it is a great walk and trollies can bring you anywhere. they have a great continental breakfast. but the service was so great i have to say that again.

This little casino and hotel treats you like Vegas used to. The employees try to learn your name and are courteous. We stayed here during our honeymoon and won $1000 on the slots! Exceptionally clean vintage rooms. Short walk downtown.

We make it a practice to stay at the first gold. The rooms are nce. The staff is excellent, and just a relaxed place to be. You are always treated like you are the only guest there.
