I was planning to stay on the 4th of Sept., when I was passing through but decided not to because I wanted to make it to my family's that day after all (to save money since I am unemployed). I called before noon, and only was able to leave a voivemail message, and did. I never got a response back. I kept trying for the rest of the day, and ...

If you want a 5 star hotel move on, but if you want a 5 star location then make sure to pack your shampoo, hair dryer, and alarm clock, because all you will get is a clean room and bed to sleep in. This is a rock throw from the park enterence, and if you are a premadonna then go to Bozeman! Drive three hours or 5 minuits!

We liked this motel very much...
Two days in advance, I booked this motel, and when we come in at the reception with a pleasant welcome by the old women.
Clean and big room, good beds, good bath, we have had a very good stay these two days...
the other reviews made us a little bit angry, but there is nothing wrong with this ...

Terrible Motel but Good Location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/19/07
Location was good-right across from Yellowstone. Motel lady was rude and sarcastic when asked questions. There is no telephone, no clock radio, no hair dryer or any other necessity which could make a stay more pleasant. The towels were stinky and smelled like they were not washed. The entire room smelled like a barn. A strong odor coming from bathroom. Room looked like it was never dusted or cleaned.

Dishonest business practice.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/27/07
Used the internet to book the room. The clerk at the desk charged the regular price and would not take AAA. She burn us on leaving early. This motel stinks and the owner should sell. Where is the West Yellowstone BBB when you need them. What about customer service, the front desk clerk needs to take a course. How rude can you be and still be in business.

Will not go back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/07
We were return vistors and was treated horribly this last time. We booked via internet in May for a trip in August. The website said rooms were refurbished, so we took it for the word. I requested a ground floor, queen bed and kitchenette. We booked at Al's because our first stay there was delightful. When we arrived, the room I booked was not ...

Best kept secret in West Yellowstone
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/07
Mrs. Parker is the most congenial host we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She is most accomidating. The location of the motel is at the west entrance to Yellowstone Park. They are next to resturants, gas stations and other facilities. This is uniquivocally the finest home owned motel in the town and is typical of an American owned and operated facility that has been passed through several generations of the Parker family. Good job!!
We opted to stay in a smaller, non-chanin motel, and were very satisfied with our pick. It is close to the park entrance, and within walking distance of anywhere you might want to go. The room was exceptionally clean. We would definitely stay there again!

I made my reservation online and got a confirmation #. We were getting ready to head out on our trip there and went online to print out the information. There was an e-mail stating that we did not have a reservation. I called the motel and they said that there computers did not update fast enough and our reservation was not accepted, ever though ...
