We are originally from Catskill, NY and when ever we travel back to Catskill - we ALWAYS stay here. It is a nice, quiet, clean place and all the owners and staff are extrememly friendly. Looking forward to our stay this year!

Only have good things to say. I'm a pharmacist working "on call" at the local "super store" (you can figure out which one, I'm sure), and they don't pay much. I've stayed many places and this is by far the nicest place I have stayed in the area for the money. I've been there twice and I'm going back again.

We have stopped and stayed in the motel on our way home from Lake George many times. The rooms are not fancy or updated but they are a large size and they are clean. A comfortable place to stay. If you are a light sleeper you may find it difficult in the motel rooms. They are very close to the road and you do hear the cars and trucks zooming by. If that doesn't bother you it is worth a stay.

We love the Rip Van Winkle. The cabins are pretty, cozy and comfortable. The area abounds in things to do, like picking your own cherries in the Hudson Valley. The nearby town of Catskill has some nice affordable restaurants. For Catholics looking for a church while on vacation, St. Patrick's is gorgeous. We are looking forward to our stay this summer!

There was nothing to dislike about Carl's Rip-Van Winkle Motor Lodge. It had a very nice rustic setting. The restaurant was delicious! We stayed in Windswept cottage.

My family and I have been visiting Carl's Rip-Van Winkle Motor Lodge, in Leeds, NY, for about 25 years. We've never had a complaint. I was just recently there, for a short weekend stay, and the improvements they've made to the cabins, were Great!
