I shouldn't write a review on this place just so I can always get a room here, but they people here are so friendly... I loved everything about this Inn. The staff was the best! The rooms are great! The prices are the best in town for a clean hotel! and the view...WOW! Whenever I'm in Ventura, this is the ONLY place I'll stay!!!!

I stayed here once and fell in love with it. Have yet to go back. The place that was a mess and under construction I think is the Seaward in around the corner. Hotel is under extremem construction, a fact that they keep secret until you actually check in. Hotel is unstaffed. Walls between the rooms are paper-thin. Amtrak train cames by and shakes the very ground! And then there's the train's horn that blows until 2 am.

I love this place. Perfect for a weekend getaway. A few decent eateries are within a block. So uncork that second bottle of wine. You can stay on sleepy Seaward ave. or just drive five minutes into downtown Ventura. Top floor views are outstanding. You can literally spit onto the sand outside the balcony. If the golden sunset isn't enough push the button on the gas fireplace. I'll be back!

This hotel is wonderful in all ways but one - it has no air conditioning. Most of the time this is probably fine, given the location, but we visited in the middle of a heat wave and our stay was pretty oppressive. Worse, we couldn't open the door, as the screen door was too flimsy to prevent our toddler from escaping!
