We had a terrific time when we visted the Dixie Dude ranch, and the kids (ages 11, 9, and 6) can't wait to go back next year.
The service and food was great. We especially liked how the meals were served "family style" with all the guests sitting together at the same table and passing food to each other.
There were quite a few ...

My son(12) and I just returned from a week at the Dixie Dude Ranch and all we can think about is going back as soon as possible! I can't say enough nice things about the people who work there, they were always friendly and accommodating. The cowboys (Johnny,Mike and Ringo) were patient and inspired confidence in those of us who were a little(or ...
We, a family of four, two girls 9 and 3, my wife and I enjoyed the laid back feeling of this place. The two trail rides daily were a nice pace with a good mix of skill for a beginner with horses. If you've never rode a horse before, I recommend lessons with D.C. and Melissa Flowers. They make you feel very comfortable on a horse and don't ...

Wow, what a lovely place to stay and what an experience. I would recomend this family friendly ranch to anyone looking for the cowboy experience. We rode twice each day and not once in our 3 night stay did we go on the same route. The cowboys were very courteous and didn't remark on my lack of riding skills! The food was good and plentiful. ...

My late husband and I took our son and daughter in 1975 and from the reviews I read it seems as though nothing has changed. We thoroughly enjoyed it and I'm thinking about taking the grandchildren.
We, a family of four including two boys ages 5 and 7, had such a great time at our recent stay at the Dixie Dude Ranch. The horseback riding was awesome, the service tremendous and the staff was friendly and wonderful. I really can't say enough about them, the ranch and the horses. We were complete "dudes" from the East Coast and were ...
There is nothing I can say about the Dixie Dude Ranch but great!. It has an atmosphere that you will never forget. The accomodations are clean, and very nice. The food was great. The horseback riding is nice, and the breakfast on the mountain is nice!. There is nothing I can say but if you would like to get away to a quiet place, and feel as if you ...

I went with my school. It was a perfect place to hang. The animals were real cool. I rode the horeses and mine started running. There were cats and one was abandoned. We snuck it in out room. The food was great. I cried when we left.

To make a long story short, we liked (loved)everything and did not dislike anything.
The cowboys are real, as opposed to "drug store" cowboys. The method of serving meals to the guest in an atmosphere of being in someone's dining room is cozy. The evening bon-fires and entertainment was an unexspected plus. The horses running ...
My husband and I recently took a weekend trip to the Dixie Dude Ranch just outside Bandera, Texas. We had a great and authentic time at the ranch! The Dixie Dude Ranch offered relaxing trail rides two times a day, fish and release, awesome hiking terrain, nightly entertainment and a great deal of time to relax. We were catered to by an ...
