    location, and comfort. you let us keep our car there while on the cruise for 4 days without charging. overall rated excellent and will return this time with friends.

    It's in very good location. Near the old town and cruise port is walking distance. There are many restaurants to choose from. Ideal for family and for realaxing.

    i love how we could hook up our boat, clean off in our hotel room and walk the strand. it is always very relaxing when we go down there!

    Right next to the Strand area for shopping, dining & nightlife on the water. The hotel has a parking lot for $10 a day which is a good deal for the area. The rooms are updated and most have views of the water. It is right next door to the Fishmans Wharf, the Great Storm show, tall ship Elisa and many other fun attractions!

    My newlywed bride and I stayed at the harbor House in Galveston prior to going on our Honeymoon Cruise to the Western Carribean. We arrived to our Deluxe Suite on 17 September and met the day manager who had excellent Customer Service skills.     At first glance, this hotel was a nice find. It's extremely close to the downtown "Strand" disctrict. Many shops, resteraunts, and views within walking distance. I'm not really sure why they charge $10 a night for parking when the lot was never more than 10% full.

  • Wonderful place to stay....

    Even though my trip was a business trip...I absolutely loved this hotel...the staff was nice...let me check in early and check out late...I enjoyed the breakfasts there..and also the meeting rooms that they let us use...I would definitely stay here again...

    We were very disappointed in this hotel. Upon entrance to the "lobby", the smell of mold and mildew was overwhelming. Fortunately, the room did not smell moldy or musty. The room was clean but it was "barebones". The bathroom fan did not work, the bedding was old. The ceiling fan did not work. I had to request an iron and a ...

    Our room was nice and clean and the view was wonderful. There were also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. The beach area was on the other side of the island so it was quite at the time we were there.

    We will be returning to the Harbor House this year as we pass through Galveston on our journeys. My husband and I and our best friends stayed here two years ago, arriving on Goldwings in the pouring rain.
