I wanted to correct the last review written about the Vizcaya. I am the innkeeper here so I am very familiar with the property. None of our rooms are located over the ballroom. Our ballroom is located in a separate building next to the mansion. The last review was most likely reffering to our sister property at the time, the Sterling Hotel.

My wife and I stayed overnight as a treat to ourselves away from the kids and thought that this would be the perfect get away. The accommodations were fine (although a little worn) until about 10:00 pm when the music started downstairs. We loved the neighborhood with all the trees and gorgeous homes, and our room was beautiful. The architechual details of the mansion were very impressive. The service was excellent, and the food offered a variety of choices.

We got married there in 2004, they "lost" over a case of $20 a bottle wine and attempted to replace with "2 buck chuck". They went into wedding suite without permission and removed non perishable food and left door open. Staff was rude and the owner was worse, it took months to get reimbursed for wine.
