We arrived at nite, very nice crew working here, good price, room was VERY, very clean, only a block from Von's, really good location. We will stay here again

I was in Long Beach for a conference at the Westin, but I didn't book the trip in time to get a room there. I figured I would give the Rodeway Inn a shot since it was nearby. The picture didn't strike me as being an overly nice hotel, but I figured it couldn't be that bad, either, as it is only a couple blocks away from the Westin. ...

I didn't find a pool or complimentary continental breakfast...but I did find the friendliest, more helpful staff I've ever encountered. I booked the wrong date online, still got a great rate on a room that day! Needed directions, they were helpful and printed them for me. Very polite and attentive. Its not the Ritz Carlton...but it is welcoming.

there are times when you like to give the benefit of the doubt and take a chance on a hotel/INN. The room reservation was for non-smoking w/ fridge. Got a smoking room w/ no fridge and a dirty coffee maker. Booked the room three weeks earlier, paid for it the night before arrival and still had a problem checking in. Can't recommend unless it's between this or the sleazy looking motel. It does look better than that...
