We stayed for two days in May 2009. The hotel has recently had a makeover to upgrade it from a Holiday Inn. The work is now pretty much complete and the rooms feel new and fresh.
There is a small but newly equipped gym. Restaurant was great for self service breakfast, didn't try dinner but the menu looked good.

Perfect location away from the hustle and bustle of downtown London. It is literally across the street from the Gloucester Street Tube station so you can hop on and off easily.
It was great with our family too--we had two children (10 & 6), so we had the loft suite, which was reasonable (in London terms) and very comfortable.
Kensington is a lovely, affordable neighborhood to stay in while visiting London. The hotel rooms are small, but functional and clean. Located near several Tube stops and Sainsbury supermarket. Good restaurants in the general area, too.
