Beautiful Break
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/23/09
Just Returned From The Claymore Hotel Were I Celebrated My Birthday, Had A Fantastic Long Weekend, The Room Was Very Basic But Clean, But The View Of The Snow Capped Mountains And The Loch Were Worth A Million, And The Staff Could Not Do Enough To Ensure A Good Time Was Had By All, Ive Stayed In 5 Star Hotels And Never Recieved The Hospitality I Had At The Claymore.
The hotel is situated right on loch long the views are stunning. The staff could not be more helpful. We went with freinds 6 of us to celebrate my birthday. I couldnt have stayed in a freindlier place. This hotel is old and has charm so dont expect the Ritz but unlike many national holidays hotels it is right in the village and not 10 miles away ...

We, ll be back
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/30/08
we have just returned from our third visit with National holidays to the Claymore Hotel in Arrochor and as usual the staff were great, the food was good and the room nice. Our driver was Wayne and he is a pleasant driver to take you to a beautiful place in scotland. The variety of the food was really good and compared favourably with more ...

Not to be missed.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/29/08
My first National Holidays short break and if the Claymore is anything to go by, it will not be my last. Anyone who gives this hotel a bad review is living on another planet. Accomodation was more than adequate and the staff were extremely pleasant and left you with the feeling that they could not do enough for you. A special thanks to Nicola in ...
we liked everything, this hotel was a superp base for a superb holliday. a good clean hotel the rooms are clean but the bathrooms are perhaps a bit on the small side, good choice of food served by excellent staff, and as on the coach you have your own table throughout your stay so no queues. the bar staff are again first class and good ...

We visit scotland on a regular basis, however, we feel that the Claymore is definately the best located as the views are stunning.
The hotel itself is great value, very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Could do with a lick of paint here and there, but hey no great dramas, we love it:-)
P.S. If ya get Garry as the coach driver your well amde as hes a credit to the company.

We will avoid the Claymore Hotel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/07
From the outside, the hotel,so close to Loch Long, such an impressive building, seemed to embody the spirit of Scotland. The inside did not. The drivers were rebuked for arriving 10 minutes too soon (2.50 instead of 3 PM) We had expected the weather to be cold but wrongly assumed the hotel would be warm. The heating was not switched on until 30 ...

No Lift
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/23/07
The first thing that we found was that there was no lift and we had to carry our cases up the stairs(we are pensioners, one is slightly disabled). The food is very basic although to be fair there is a choice. The bathrooms are mega-small, you cannot get a proper wash without banging your elbows on the walls(the same in the shower) Unless you like ...
