I was promised a room with a king size bed, a view of the river and a refrigerator. Princess failed to deliver on all three promises. The rooms remind me of the Super 8. Uncomfortable matresses, no coffee maker, ironing board or iron. Highly over priced! We ended up going to a neighboring hotel for the cabin dinner theater. After speaking ...
Most guest rooms face other guest rooms, not panoramic views. Had to call desk when room still not cleaned by 4 PM. Hot tubs not close to most buildings. Buildings so far apart, not realistic to walk across complex with wet bathing suits. Rooms dark, small, old mattresses, double-beds, not queen-sized. Bed linens old and shabby. Thin ...
I stayed here as part of my land tour package, booked through Princess Cruises, around June 2006. The hotel is fairly close to Denali National Park by vehicle and to gift shops located across the street. I liked this hotel because of its general location to many of the local attractions.
Internet connection, located in a large building near ...
We recently spent two nights in this lodge. The lodge is absolutely beautiful and the rooms were huge. Our room was very clean and the staff was very helpful. I am not cheap, but I felt the eating options were limited and pricey--being isolated on the lodge grounds gave no extended choices for eating. Even the couple eating places that ...
Room was sparkling clean. Just happened to be in the newest section of the Lodge with its own lobby and a small coffee shop and bar. Very peaceful and uncrowded. The areas near the shops and main lobby were busier but still relaxing. Food and service in the dining room were superb. The prime rib was cooked to perfection and tender enough to ...
Decent rooms, great service and stunning views are at Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge. Their hot tubs overlooking river rapids and Alaskan mountains were my favorite part of the Lodge experience. I cannot wait to go back!
We recently spent two nights at the Denali Princess Lodge, and were very pleased with the accomodations, service and most importantly the location. We emerged from under the clouds and mist to arrive at the lodge under a rainbow, which set the tone for our spectacular two days exploring Denali National Park. Highly recommend the experience, ...
We (a family of four, kids 8 and 11) stayed for two nights in early June. Like another reviewer, we had booked our train separately. The hotel is very geared to serving the cruise ship package people, and don't seem very concerned with helping independent travelers. The place is filled with over-60 tour group crowd. Nevertheless, we had a ...
We took the Princess Rail tour from Anchorage to DeNali Princess Lodge - cost was expensive - everything went well until we got to the lodge - we were considered "independents" since we planned our own trip and were not with a cruise tour. when we got there - the other party with us were put in a one double bed room instead of two ...
The main lodge lobby is beautiful Too bad they didn't light the fireplaces for atmosphere. Staff was new and could not solve problems, offered newness as excuse. Room not cleaned; breakfast was cold at Summit Restaurant; advertised tours were not open yet. Peacefulness of location was a plus. Gift shop staff courteous and helpful. Shuttles did not run on a schedule - creating problems.
