From the moment the cab pulled up to the front, I was treated so well. All I said to the doorman was, "Checking in", and they got my suitcases out of the trunk and into the hotel before I even arrived at the check in desk. All the personnel were very attentive. My room was "city view" and overlooked the buildings of downtown ...
I have stayed here multiple times, starting before it was renamed Marriott from the Rennaissance. The rooms on the city side are slightly smaller than those facing the Opera House, but are quite comfortable, and could not be called small. Those facing the Opera House have an incredible view of that building, as well as Circular Quay, the harbor, ...

Incridble Disapointment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/29/08
INCREDIBLY DISAPOINTING!!! My family and I save all year to splurge on an expensive luxury holiday for one week each year. Upon arrival at the Marriott it SEEMED to live up to its reputation as a luxury hotel. I was absolutely devastated upon seeing the size of the rooms. We had been given a room on a smoking floor – which we guessed ...
I was just recently in Sydney visiting a friend of mine and I stayed at the Harbour Marriott and let me tell you this place was seriously gorgeous & luxurious. My friend Daisy had referred me to this Hotel and so I took her recommendation prior to the trip and she did not steer me wrong. I was especially pleased with the staff of the hotels, ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/06
Staff, hotel layout, services, comfortable rooms, lounge bar, all the best that I've experienced in Sydney, maybe a touch expensive but with that view and location you can't really grumble

the best location money can buy!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/08/05
It is located in the absolute heart of Sydney. My partner and i spent the late afternoon with eyes glued to the window, watching the sun fall over the majestic harbour, from our hotel room. Our room was prepared on arrival (even though we arrived early) and the service at the reception was of high quality. They were very helpful with any request ...

Upgrade to the Executive Level!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/27/05
Spent 4 nights at this hotel and took the upgrade to the Executive Level. Concierge in the Executive Lounge was absolutely fabulous. They readily made recommendations for local restaurants (willingly made reservations and had sample menus to preview), things to do, and places to see. Complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails/canapes/desserts ...
We spent 4 days at the Sydney Harbor Marriott. Stayed in a room on the executive level. Due to low occupancy at the hotel, the cost was $70/night instead of the usual $99. There was a hot/cold breakfast, coffee/tea/soft drinks/bottled water available all day long, canapes in the evening and a full bar in the evenings. Well worth $35 a person. ...
