My boyfriend and I went to Kuramathi on a last minute whim in May 2005. We got a great deal to the Village staying in a beach bungalow. When we got there we were told there was building work going on in the Village and so we were upgraded to a beach bungalow in Kuramathi Blue Lagoon. Liked: beautiful snorkelling on the outer side of the island, nice sandy beach facing the lagoon, good value of the gym (15$ per week)-includes also a swimming pool, a jacuzzi and a tennis court otherwise unavailable. Very interesting Marine Life center with inlightening evening lectures on coral population of the Atoll. Disliked:rather poor ...

We arrived by seaplane to this bit of paradise after a long journey from Scotland via Singapore, in Sept 2004! We were hoping for beautiful beaches, quiet days & nights with good facilities...and we got it all. The spa treatments soon got rid of any travel stress & relaxed us to the point of comatose! Our waterbungalow had the works...gorgeous ...
From the seaplane flight in right through to the speedboat ride back to Male, it was all superb. If you want the most romantic honeymoon location on the planet then this would be a good place to try - the waterbungalows in the Cottage Club are definately recommended. But if you dont like the idea of swimming with baby reef sharks, stingrays, ...
