So we arrived and had reserved rooms with a fireplace -- the main highlight of this place on its website. No such luck. My room was TINY with no fireplace. And when I brought it to the attention of the concierge, she only offered $11 off my rate. Anyways, the room was mediocre, small bathroom, tiny shower -- much like if you were staying with an ...
We stayed at 4 nights at La Petite Auberge in late September, 2005, and absolutely loved it! The decor is charming, the location convenient, breakfast is yummy, and staff are incredibly cordial and helpful. We booked a "cozy queen", which was very "cozy," hey, it's San Fran! We utilized the sitting area downstairs by the ...

This hotel is quaint but in a good way. Very clean and the hotel staff were helpful in giving directions or booking tours. Great location near cable cars and Union Square. Valet parking only and the price is a bit high but if you don't want to risk a ticket or getting towed, it's worth it. Overall, a nice place which I would stay in again.
