I stayed at Xona prior to them changing their name from the DEAD Resort Suites name to now Xona - can they not get it right. Bad managment, poor renovation and what else is left.

We were in Scottsdale for medical visits to BrainState Technology. We picked Zona Resort because it was close to BrainState. We were a little worried because we saw in some reviews that it was noisy. 1. Rooms very, very small
2. Have to move furniture around since not placed optimally.
3. Bathroom very small and cramped
4. Require you to submit a credit card on file for incidentals even if you intend to pay as you go.
5. Bed length unusually short.
6. Rooms generally very darkish.
7. Resort name is misleading, really a budget hotel in disguise.

Noisy and messy constuction everywhere, limited parking, guest services in semi-converted resort rooms. Told would be done sept 30, 2008.

Upon checkout, the hotel charged me a daily "resort fee" and associated taxes, which I had no choice but to pay for. It added almost $100 to our 4 day stay! This is hands-down the worst hotel I've ever stayed on my business trips. The toilet had "things" still on it, the tub was dirty and the grouts between the tiles were filled with mildew, yuck yuck yuck!!! And the room (not a suite) was $279/night! We had the best experience here. The rooms and pool(s) are gorgeous! The entire staff was so helpful and friendly. The food was so good, we ordered room service 4 times! I will stay here everytime I visit Scottsdale. Be sure to check their website for internet specials. We got a great deal!

Good location, great rate and excellent service. A lot of golf was being planned and played, while I liked the excellent rate that was available.

The one downside was a lack of a free internet connection in the rooms.

The Resort Suites of Scottsdale was very nice. My wife and I stayed there for our Anniversary get away.
