Fantastic HotelVisited Chicago August '09 and stayed at the Embassy and loved it. First of all the location of the hotel was very convienient, it didnt take long to either walk or take a taxi somewhere. The hotel staff was very friendly and the building was very well maintained. Perfect with kidsGreat with kids--complimentary hot breakfast with lots of choices and manager's reception--a nice end to a day running around with the little ones. Not a relaxing getaway destinationMy husband & I stayed there during Easter weekend. The place was overrun with poorly supervised children. I asked if they always have that many children staying at the hotel and they said yes. The hotel is nice if you have kids with you, otherwise, it is not a place for a romantic or relaxing getaway. High Price, Low QualityLet me say this hotel has a nice location, off Michigan Avenue. It is within walking distance to several shops. I was not impressed with the room (dimly lit, nothing but boring with color, just basic). The best part is the hotel lobby and 5:30pm - 7:30pm happy hour.
