We were coming back for our second time at Disney and planned to stay at Coranado Springs and didn't like it. So we went here because we knew we would like it from previous stay. But when we came, they gave us a room at the bottom floor ( witch I don't really have a problem with), with a view of the parking lot. And before that, the lady ...

Great Hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/22/06
I visted this hotel in the fall of 2004. Very fun!! The lobby is amazing as you walk in, very spacious. Everywhere you look you'll find something new. Our hotel room was at the very end of one of the wings, we felt like we were walking forever to get to our room. We weren't too happy about our location initially, however when we woke in ...

EAT somewhere else.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/01/06
It had a WOW factor that was typical of Disney, with good friendly service. I think a bit TOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive for what it is. Eating there is a waist of time, a two (2) hour wait to eat at the buffet was typical. We (family of four) will not go back to the lodge.

Great Experience!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/11/06
We were hesitant to stay here after reading some not so positive reviews- but happily we had a great experience. We try to travel at off-peak times because with young kids it makes sense to plan to avoid delays. Out trip was nearly perfect. We only book a few weeks ahead of our trip- my sister got AKL for $135 a night- we were put into a fabulous ...

Fun for kids
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/09/06
The African theme of the hotel made this a more interesting place to stay while visiting the Disney parks in Orlando. Visiting students from Africa work as nature and culture guides on the grounds, African music plays in the lobby and its fun to watch the animals from your room. The hotel is still very new and so the facilities are in nice ...
We stayed there the first year it was built. We had the Savana view also. It was great watching the animals at your bacony. It was a bit dark in some spots of the hotel-but I think that made it seem more jungle like. The service was great and the hotel it self was spotless.Anyplace that you stay may have its own ploblems considering the huge amount ...

A Very Dark Vacation Resort!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/24/06
I went with my husband and 2yr. old daughter because of a deal they were offering. $175 a night. I couldn't pass it up for a deluxe resort1 Well, it is a very darkly lit resort. If you don't have Savannah room, forget about seeing any animals close up. You can't get on a Savannah tour unless you paid for concierge. Balcony roofs ...

A great time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/20/06
A wonderful place, Loved the staff, helpful and understanding Wonderful to see all the animals when you wake up having coffee.. Nice size pool and location . food a little over priced Need more child friendly resterants
My family enjoyed staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge more than we enjoyed going to the parks. There was plenty to do, plenty to see, and plenty to eat. There are numerous activities for children and their parents to enjoy whenever the family wants a day to skip the parks and just relax. Every activity is educational, but if you don't tell ...
