This hotel was horrible and I mean Horrible. There was absolutley no elevator and the customer service was bad. We stayed on the fourth floor had one bed and four people. The televison did not work, there was no alarm clock and the closet was extra small. we could barley walk around in this place. Not to mention, There are no bathrooms in the room, ...

Repeat: Bed Bugs

As everyone else seems to have experienced, this place has bed bugs. Other than that not too bad, but not worth it when the bugs are there. Wish I had of checked out this site first.

I liked the location. 1 block to subway 1-line. I asked for a remote and more pillows .. got them when I returned in the evening. Neighborhood seemed safe. I disliked walking 5 floors very much. This was not mentioned before booking. Carpeting stopped 1 inch away from all of the walls. No drapes, only blinds. Bad odor in room. A/C was not on ...
Okay, this place is probably going to cost you big bucks. Stayed at the Belnord for two nights at $70 a night, saved maybe $200 from a more expensive hotel. Got home, and the bedbugs from the hotel had hitched a ride. Exterminators cost me $2000. I had to dispose of and replace all of my fabric furniture for maybe another $3000. I then had to ...
I stayed at this hotel for three night and the itchy bums are not from the bad bugs... they are from the strong dertergents on the linens and the towers..
for example... when i make the tower wet and used it to rub/clean my neck, i got bums and itchy spots an hour later... the linens have the same problem, only that it is progressive because it ...
I stayed at this hotel from april 8 to 11th 2006 in a room with a private bath... the rooms are clean.. shared baths are very clean, basic TV, hair dryer and a phone... a nice table for work but not a table lamp on it?? linens and towers have residues of detergents so they are itchy on my skin.. when you get the tower wet, don't put it on your ...

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/06
I really liked my stay at the Belnord. The rooms are what you would expect for the money, they are very adequate. The rooms are clean. The location was safe and was within easy access to the subway. The only problem I have is I believe I may have come home with bedbug bites. On the eighth day of my return home I started with itchy bumps on my ...

Quaint Hotel in good location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/23/06
We traveled with a group of 27 people for a weekend in NYC. We found the Belnord, extremely reasonable and had easy access to all of the city. The rooms were very small, but clean and neat. The bathrooms, although shared, were never full. There were 4 bathrooms per floor for approximately 12 rooms. It is hard to find such a reasonable place to ...

good inexpensive hotel

Despite some reviewers complaints my wife and I (in our 60's) found this a very clean hotel (both rooms and shared bath) with helpful staff. Climbing stairs is a bit of a problem but the location more than made up for it. I would deffinitely recommend it to value conscious travellers.

Only stayed in New York for 3 nights this time around so sleep and comfort were a priority. This is a great hotel, there is no bedbugs!
