We had the misfortune of staying at the hotel during remodeling. Despite telling us the workers would not begin their day until 10:30, horrible horrible construction began at 9am on a Saturday. My Handicapped sister just stayed at the Hotel for three nights..She is severely handicapped and takes a long time to get showered and dressed in the morning.
I know check-out in 12:00 noon and she checked out 1 hour late. But how low can a company go to charge her an extra $25.00. I think they should be ashamed of their-selves(policy or not)
I'm sorry I recommended the place to her, after checking out their website.

unfriendly staff

The hotel is clean, convenient to the university. The front desk staff can be unfriendly (this being said after several stays). The Homewood Suites by Hilton is much preferred on all levels.
This is by far the best hotel in Gainesville. Directly across the street from the west side of campus and located one minute from Butler Plaza, a giant strip mall with tons of restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is well-maintained. My only complaint is the speed and consistency of the service is often lacking.
