Everything @ this high end retreat is superlative. Meals were excellent, and the rooms, off the scale. We certainly didn't expect such quality in this off the beaten path location. It's not a bargain, but worth every penny.

We(I)plan on being there Valentine's Day. My wife will be pleasantly surprized.

What a wonderful experience. We can't wait to go back. It is on our list of favorites. The lodge was charming, the meals were amazing and the atmosphere lets you relax and enjoy. No worries. No problems. We are already booking our next get away.

The whole place was very romantic and comfortable. They had trails on a hillside to explore which include a mine trail. There was lots to do and the people were very friendly. Also it was walking distance from Julian's mainstreet which allowed us to walk from our rooms to the antique shops. I highly recommend to stay here.

As I was trying to call around Julian and make last minute reservations for a Sunday evening since I heard there was possible snow coming, I spoke with Sharon who answered the 800 number. After asking her is there was snow in Julian, she rudely asnwered to ask the weather man and hung up. I called back to let her know that my next question was to inquire about reservations! Wow. Not staying there.

The cottage we stayed in was beautiful, private and had everything we needed. The breakfast was great. The view from the restaurant was breathtaking. The town is just plain quaint and adorable. Nice restaurants and gift shops in town.
