Truly Paradise

We just came back from 4 nights and 5 days at the Inn in Vieques which were truly inspiring! The staff was very attentive, the food great, and the location and general ambience couln't be better. Vieques has picture perfect beaches, and its people are very friendly. Don't miss the opportunity to visit while its still one of the best kept secrets in the Caribbean...
We heard wonderful things about the Inn on the Blue and were curious to find out for ourselves. From the moment we arrived 'til the day we left (5 days, 4 nights) it was amazing! The servive was outstanding (thanks to Michelle and her entire staff, Brian, Rebecca, Early, Kelsey, Elizabeth and to many others). The rooms were clean and private. The restaurant was excellent. The overall experience was an A+ and we can't wait to go back!!!

Gone Way Downhill

This used to be the greatest little place in the Caribbean. But a couple of years ago, the owner sold it to a couple of dorks who set out to ruin it -- or so it seems. It used to be a beautiful, peaceful place to relax. It's still beautiful, but the peace is gone. Besides the construction noise during the day (they're doing a big ...

Not a place for kids

Our family just returned from a trip to the beautiful Vieques island. As PR locals, we were told not to stay at the Inn as it does not cater to families with children, but we still wanted to see the spectacular views, great accomodations and try chef Xandra's excellent Carambola restaurant.
Our dining experience was quite memorable, on a ...

The Inn on Blue Horizons is a 100% unique experience. 10 bungalos on over 20 acres of manicured, yet still natural land offer a truly "anti-resort" experience. The overall style is quiet, privacy, and luxury. The new owner, Shane, delights in the smallest detail and strives to provide comfort. The dinner at the elegant (and mostly ...

You could do far better elsewhere
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/13/06
We stayed at the Inn between Christmas 2005 and New Year's. We had high hopes for the Inn based on all the positive press, but it was unfortunately a big disappointment. While the setting is lovely with a great view of the Caribbean, we could not enjoy the time spent at the Inn because the management was so poor. It was not at all the relaxing ...

What others attribute to exclusivity and being, "left alone", I attribute to the staff being lazy and unhelpful.
The A/C in the rooms kinda works, the house cleaning staff will sometimes sweep the rooms, the grounds are poorly manicured, the previously convenient (and supposedly good) restaurant is out-of-service, the predictability ...
We stayed at both the Inn on the Blue Horizon and Haciendo Tamarindo during a recent trip to Vieques. They were both great, yet appeal to different folks.
The Inn on the Blue Horizon was more of an exclusive retreat: very little interaction between/among guests; little interaction with the people who worked there; cabins rather than ...
