I loved the location, the help of the staff, especially the shuttle service to wherever we needed to go, and everything about the room. My sons and I flew in for a football game and it was a terrific choice. I'll check for openings with Holiday Inn Express first whenever we travel in the future.

Good: 1/2 mile from Oakland airport,the remodeled section's decor is beautiful, latest flat screen televisions, staff is friendly and attentive, the breakfast is pretty good, free fast internet

Bad: Strange whistling sound in my room due to new air/heat unit, ants, the snack vending machine didn't work on 2nd or 3rd floors, the bathroom doors don't stay open, none of the machines in the exercise room worked

Location is very near the airport so that you can get right to your outgoing flight, or get right to bed after a late incoming flight.
Our room did not have a working internet hookup. The desk clerk told me that the problem must be in my laptop. I didn't have any problems with the laptop during the entire trip, so I doubt her opinion. It ...
