red carpet inn , blacksburg is mid budget yet close to virginia tech. we were there on sept 10th for three nights. clean room, comfortable bed, free HBO ,working shower and wendy's next door. motel was busy but surprise was quiet. we got we wanted for fair price when other limited hotel near hospital even far from campus were asking double amount. we will come back.

redcarpet inn is a nice motel type property to stay. people are friendly, rooms were clean, closer to VT campus and fair room rate, what else you could ask for ? we will come again in may second week.

Property is old and not well maintained, but reasonably clean. Staff inefficienct and uncooperative. OK if you know your way around town and just need a place to sleep.
