My wife and I were spending a few days in Athens. Were scared off by some previous reviews of this place, but didn't want to spend twice the price somewhere else so we braved it.

The only thing good was the price. The rooms are not very clean. The doors look like they have been broken into and they don't seem to protect anybody occupying the room. It would be better to pay more and stay at someplace safer and cleaner.

The service was absolutely horrible. The staff was rude and unhelpful. The room cost me $93 a night and was filthy dirty, had stains on the bed linens, smelled musty and dirty and I saw bugs. This hotel was terrible. The room was dirty and smelled. There was a huge hole in the ceiling and the walls were paper thin. We not only felt dirty after staying here we felt very unsafe staying there. Although it costs us only $73 a night, it was not worth $10. I would not recommend staying at this hotel ever!

Like: Close to places to eat. Not too far from Hocking College.
Dislike: Quoted one price on phone when making reservation. Billed more expensive price at Check-in. Lied about why the different prices. Caught in act when friend received price I was quoted. Foreign owners played the "I don't understand much English" card. Smoking room not aired out. Febreeze didn't help. Spit stains on walls.

I stayed at this motel for 18 months over the course of 3 years. I found the rooms to be clean, the staff polite, willing and helpful. An all-round great value for anyone. I am a former hotel owner and maintenance engineer with experience at resorts in Canada, USA and Bermuda.

The customer service was horrible and very rude (on the phone and in person). The hotel was dirty. The room has a rusted toilet seat, cigarette burns on the sheets (this was a non-smoking room), dirty marks on the walls, and it looked as if the room had been broken into before. We saw the room and left to another hotel, while absorbing the reservation charges. Will never stay again!!!
