Nice Stay!The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.OVERALL

Great Price, Great ValueIn June 2005 my wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Excelsior. The rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a bit noisey at times, and the rooms aren't large, but for Manhattan, I feel that we got a very good deal-- the cheapest stay in Manhattan that I found and still have your own bathroom. Loved the LocationFour of us girls met in NYC and stayed at this beautiful old hotel. The accommodations across from the American Museum of Natural History and Central Park was outstanding. Nearby subway stations were convenient, and the neighborhood restaurants were fun when we were too tired to try something more exotic. Great Hotel. Not expensive, family oriented locationWe stayed several times in this hotel. It's not big, but rooms are specious. The location is great - across from Central Park, next to subway station, and in the middle of Upper West Side. They do have wireless internet, and the price is relatively cheap.
