I was visiting NYC with my family members. We decided to stay at the Royal Regency Hotel. Upon entering there was nobody to be found in the lobby who could assist us to the reservation desk. finally we went upstair and again to our surprise a girl behind the desk was talking over her cell phone and did not greet us even after she had looked at us. ...
My family and I went there for one week. The staff were all wecloming. Also when we went for breakfast it was like a buffet, there so many choses that lasted us throughout the whole day. My baby sis needed her milk warmed up and the staff were very kind enough to help us with that. It looked just as nice from the outside as the inside. There was dominos pizza right in front of it. Overall only a picky person would rate this hotel a 1.

Had a very comfortable stay for 3 days with family and kids, last month. We had planned a vaction with 4 other families and all stayed in the same hotel and everyone liked it very much. The rooms are large, excellent service and the front desk staff was very friendly. We would stay again and would recommend others as well. By far this is our best experience at a hotel.
The wait staff never smiled, was slow to clean off the tables and did not serve the guest with respect. . I was also afraid for the safety of my children . The hotel had NO securtiy to control the mob that was fighting in the lobby . The rooms were not clean. the bathroom was dingy and the bed was lumpy.
Having worked abroad for many years and stayed in many hotels worldwide, unfortunately I / we were requested to book in there as we were attending a wedding locally, thankfully not at this venue. A large group travelling from Ireland, many for the 1st time spend a number of nights there some with young children, found this hotel not only old, drab ...
I often visit New York from Michigan, I enjoy the city very much , at times you just need to have peace and quiet and the only time I spend at the hotel in New York City is when I am about to go to sleep, so being directly in the city around all the noise is not to appealing to me, Royal Regency is close enough to the city, yet far enough to avoid ...
This place is a dump. Holes in the walls, a stinch throughout the hall ways and rooms, rats can be heard scurrying in the walls, drunks yelling outside all night, broken equipment, dripping faucets.
They've done work on the exterior to make it look nice, but that's the extent of it. Even the sheets stink.
You DO NOT want to even think about staying at this place. It should be closed down.
We called to book a room for a wedding we were to attend. When booking, we specified that we needed a handicap accessable room, and were told that it would not be a problem. On arrival, the entrance to the building was under re-construction, and we were told we could not enter as it was too dangerous. We were instructed to use the rear ...
