We were amazed at how well kept the buildings and grounds were and with the overall progress of the resort. We love coming to the mountains for a relaxing vacation and Mountain Loft is just perfect. It is far enough out that you feel that you are not in the hub-bub of Gatlinburg life, but close enough that you don't have to do a lot of driving ...

I just got back from Mountain Loft Resort and was very impressed with the activities and amenities for both adults and children. Most were free as well, and the ones that cost money were fairly cheap, no more than $11 per person. It's located close to white water rafting, great restuarants, beautiful scenery, grocery shopping, movie rental ...

The place was nice from the outside but the inside had much to be desired.

1. We had ants all over the kitchen table. We kept killing them and more would apprear.

2. The blanket on our bed was so balled upand it looked bad in addition to be scratchy.

3. The furniture was broken.

4. Our patio door would not lock.

Great scenic view, wonderful service, very nice rooms. We loved everything about the trip. Mountain Loft is located right outside of the main strip so you don't have far to drive but you're close enough to be anywhere in 5 minutes. We're going back in June 2007.

We just got back from a weeks stay at this lovely resort. We went with friends, so w/ kids and all there were 8 of us, and we stayed at the villas where we got a 2 bedroom combined unit. We stopped at a Welcome Center and a man told us we could take a "90 minute" tour and receive two free Dollywood tickets. He said he could get me in at 9:00 am and the park opened at 11:00 am. Well... the park opened at 9:00 and the tour lasted 3 hours, and would have lasted longer if I hadn't refused to sit there any longer. I ...

We just returned from a one week stay at Mountain Loft. While we were there we sat through one of their "90 minute" sales presentations which went closer to 3 hours by the time we got out. After a week in this place and listening to their sales pitch that was supposed to last 90 minutes but went more like 2 and a helf hours and listening to the pitch man talk about their "world class" resorts I have to laugh. He obviously has never stayed in the old Co-Co pPams resort in Kauai or the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

Overall enjoyed the visit.
Maintainence staff was very helpful. Shuttle driver stopped to give us a ride to club houe in snow. Scrapper guy offered us a rid to our chalet . repair guy got ice for us after we were told there was no ice on property. The general manager and his wife stopped to give us a ride on the parkway.
