this is the best one in barahona because its the most decent the pool is very clean but the beach isnt the best...its a great hotle to get the feel of how the real dominican republic is and the people are visit the beach san rafel its the best i go every summer by the way these picures arent of the real hotle costa larimar these are the pctures of baraucho resort which is currently closed

We just recently stayed there for a week. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was good, the pool was great, and the staff was helpful for the most part. Just a couple small of complaints.The electricity would go off periodically, thus losing air conditioning in a very hot climate and the showers didn't have much water pressure or hot water. All of this said, when I visit Barahona I will stay here again.

We were looking for a place to relax and enjoy the tropical weather..We found it in Barahona. The hotel staff was friendly and always looking to please. The room were clean food was excellent. Beautiful location right on the beach with a wonderful personal staff. Excellent airconditioning system. Very clean and nice.
Great little town to see the real Domincian people and country. Large rooms and a wonderful large pool.

The staff there was wonderful. Food served buffet style with plenty of local and american dishes. Rooms were spacious with large fans and a/c. Pool and beach. A very pleasing atmosphere. Phone service, tour guides, transportation easily accessible. Located close to Larimar mines. Excellent coastal location for tours. Beautiful part of the Dominican Republic.

I loved the views and the staff, they have clean room, food is all cooked to american standards. Overall this is one of the better hotels in the Dominican Republic.

Commendable and amiable staff, but there are number of tricks to try to overcharge the fee.

They say there is no reservation made when all the payment were made by and on the internet, try to charge us doube the money.
Total cons they are.
