i heard the place isnt that nice , and it smells like curry powder, i also heard its owned by a bunch of dot heads.......were gonna stay at the holiday inn in chiefland , its only 6 miles away
My husband and I have been going to the Suwannee Gables for years and have always found the people we deal with there to be extremely helpful and pleasant! We have seen many changes and updates and understand that many more are planned....however, the Suwannee Gables is old Florida and rustic and rustic is what you should expect! Our room was very clean...crisp linens on the beds, clean towels, well dusted....but old and rustic.
I have been visiting North Fl since my parents retired there 14 yrs ago, this hotel use be be a very lovely low cost place to stay but now I would stay far far away! Very rude owners also!
At $189. per night one would expect a clean, roach free, safe cabin. We had to go and purchase cleaning supplies & eating utensils, (the ones supplied were not fit to use even under extreme conditions such as a hurricane)The door lock was broke.
