Stayed there a bunch of nights when I was in VA in the Coast Guard. Was a nice getaway from the barracks! Affordable, clean, quiet... highly suggested if you just want to relax :]
The staff is friendly. Rooms are 1970's colonial with mold on walls and general dinginess. The beds are hard and pillows smell like old men. Smells old and musty. Wallboard needs to be replaced and a good disinfecting is needed. New carpet is on the floor. Dust on the dresser. Pleasant grounds with lots of workers. If they had the same number of workers scrubbing rooms, it might make an improvement.
The landscape was very beautiful, the Resident Manager, Alex was very courteous and seems to be a one man show. upon check in he contacted our room to see if our accomadations were okay, he provided us with information on local attractions and dining.
Alex was an extremely polite and genouros person, I would greatly recommend that if you are in the williamsburg area, stay at the Yorktown Motorlodge, and ask for Alex.
I stayed at the Yorktown Motor Lodge this past February and loved the experience. The hotel and rooms were all renovated and could not have been in better condition! The staff was friendly and helped me find my way around the area. I would definately recommend this hotel to others traveling in the area!
I had an extraordinary stay at the Yorktown Motor Lodge. The rooms are extremely clean and the property is constantly updated. The lobby and room decor is very modern and tastefully done.
