Best Location posible. Just outside the main entrance to Seqoia National Park. Cute rooms. Comfortable bed. Had everything you need for a motel. They provided a basket with fruit and muffin and we enjoyed the fabulous view from out back porch to the rive. I would definitely go again.

A beautiful, well run, unique property that truly provides an intimate natural expereince with modern, clean conveniences. Innkeepers and staff incredibly helpful and nice. The most relaxing atmosphere ever. We loved the location, short walk to restaurant and bar. The river was right out our back door, with the roar of water lulling us to sleep at night. On one end is the Sequoia National Park on the other is the Kaweah Lake. Fruit and juices on the table daily were a nice touch. Stacy and Dennis are excellent hosts ...

The Good: The hotel is very close to the south entrance of the park. It is also right next to a wonderful river that adds to an awesome view of beautiful hills from the hotel window and balcony. When the river is full, you can hear it roar which combined with the fresh air makes for a relaxing experience. The lady that mans the front desk ...

Quiet, clean little place at the enterence to Sequoia National Park
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/06
Buckeye Tree Lodge has been at Gateway in Three Rivers as long as I can remember. It was likely built in the 50's sometime. It would just be average were it not for the location, right on the Kaweah River next to a historic bridge at the enterence to Sequoia National Park, and the exceptional service of the current owners.
There is a place to eat right on the river near by at Gateway Lodge.
