We were looking forward to a nice meal after reading reviews about the tavern. To our dismay, the food was lukewarm and the apppearance and taste was awful. We would never recommend dining here. Very disappointing.

We are already planning our next stay....
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/15/08
I visited with 3 friends. We stayed in the Shultz and the McFarland rooms. Kudos to Mike the storyteller. He was fabulous and made our trip most enjoyable. We are already planning our next stay and will request him for the cellar tour!!! Everything was perfect and we each had our own experiences to share the next morning!!! Oh, and the bed was soooo comfy in the Shultz room!!!
This was our first trip to Gettysburg. Went there for the ghost stories. Had a GREAT time. We went in the middle of Feb 08. Went on the ghost walk the first night. Only $8 a head good stories well presented. Cliff was our guide. Stayed the first night in the Jennie Wade room. No Ghosts. Way cool decore. Very comfortable. Cool picture of monkey ...

Delicious food, delightful server, a fine bargain
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/25/08
The ambience is genteel and refined, yet cozy. The server was friendly, fun and attentive. She told us that she has worked at the Farnsworth House Inn for ten years. One could feel she enjoyed her work and was the consummate professional. Indeed the entire staff was superb. The food was delicious and ample and the wine list just right! I was able to savor a lovely birthday dinner with my husband. Couldn't have been more pleased.

We went this past Valentine's Day weekend and it was WELL worth the money! We stayed in the Lincoln Room. The atmosphere there is absolutely fabulous! I called ahead to get a vase of flowers in the room for when we arrived, and sure enough when we walked in, there they were perfectly arranged on the table. My girlfriend actually cried! The ...

Fantastic bed and breakfast
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/10/08
We had a great stay their every year, going back next month and cant wait. We like the old victorian rooms and the fortune they spend to make you feel like you were living back in the civil war days.
The service was not very good. The food made up for it. The price was not bad. If you go there set at the bar or you may not get served.

2nd Visit to Farnsworth
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/07
We stayed in The Sara Black room this past May (2007). Service was acceptable. We only ate there for the free breakfast. The servers were polite and very friendly. The one complaint I have to mention about the room had to do with the shower. When turned on, water would spray all over the bathroom from a faulty pipe. We were unable to use the ...

We hope it's better next time.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/24/07
Dinner has been disappointment the last couple times we've dined here. We've been told several times they have run out of different menu items. When we dined here last it took 20 minutes just to be acknowledged and get a glass of water. Our waitress didn't even serve us initially it was the hostess who got us the water and took our ...
We had previously stayed at the Farnsworth House and loved it. We always enjoyed the tavern, and as I recall, they had some entertainment that we were able to sing along and have some drinks. We even enjoyed the food. We booked our reservations along with another couple that we had been with two years ago. They had always requested the ...
