rooms are very neat and clean but the main lobby infront of reception is quite dirty for a hotel this big with lots of guests. the extra foods and snacks are very expensive for such small amounts. frontdesk personals are snobbish and probably too tired to smile at the guests

I was traveling with a group of 31 who were stranded in London the day Heathrow Terminal 5 opened. Being sent to the Renaissance was a godsend! The rooms are well-appointed and very comfortable. Every member of the staff jumped to help us - often without being asked! A group member noted at breakfast, "I was just thinking I'd like some ...
good gym, business center (no free wifi), complimentary breakfast was great, clean rooms
my only issue was no wash cloth...can't stand that.

Good service and plush bed, but the extras are expensive.
We chose this place because we flew out the next morning. The price was good for London (although I'm still deciding whether Travelocity overcharged us), but the extras were ridiculous:

The hotel has really lousy internet services and television access--the available free channels apart from BBC were really bad, and there was no high speed internet access in my room. What was available in the business center actually censored some of my favorite web sites.
The food was ok and accomodations ok, but the tv and internet situations were lousy.
I had one day there and really enjoyed the room and the services beside the good food ina a cafe. The staff are friendly . Only problem the place is far from Downtown and

Perfect for us

We stayed here after Heathrow was closed by fog. The hotel was full, but they helped us with booking a taxi for the next morning, the cheapest way to make international phone calls, options for dinner and breakfast, and where the business suite was. Staff were friendly and polite. Our room was clean and tidy, but like all big hotels, a long walk from the elevator :-)
