I've been staying at the Brighton for the last 10 years. At the time of my first stay I had booked a room around the corner on the Rue St Honore. It sounded charming in the guide book but when I arrived it was not what I had envisioned. It was more like a hostel. I walked around the city streets looking for another hotel and found the Brighton. ...
-great location for getting to the west end (Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, etc.) and the east end (Notre Dame, Latin Quarter, etc.) of the tourist areas of Paris -reasonable room rates, especially considering the quality of the rooms and the rates of neighboring hotels -very clean, well-kept rooms; appeared to have been renovated within the last ...

I was put in an old shabby room, where the cable didnt work, and the heating was inadequate. The next day, I arrived back to the hotel to be told that my room had "little bugs"and that I had ...
